WELCOME TO BILTMORE FOREST
ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC SMALL TOWNS IN AMERICA
With origins that date back to Edith and Cornelia Vanderbilt a century ago, Biltmore Forest is a town unto itself. It was incorporated in 1923 and is a fully functioning municipality with its own mayor, board of commissioners, town council, and administrator.
There are 646 homes in the community ranging from modest single-story ranches to palatial mansions. With varied landscapes, many homes are tucked away on quiet tree-lined streets while others have expansive mountain views, and some are ideally situated along the manicured golf course.
In 1990, Biltmore Forest was named to the National Register of Historic Places and was lauded for its pioneering method of conscientious real estate development. With zoning restrictions that protect natural landscaping, very similar to the Biltmore Estate, Biltmore Forest follows tree protection ordinances and community forestry programs.
